Well the Bs got a win

By Arthur Correa • Author

Sure it was against Ottawa, who isn't much of a power this year (what the heck happened to Ottowa anyway, they still have great players like Spezza and Heatly, but they're terrible this year), but its still a win.

For the most part they got the win in a good way.  They started off with a shorthanded goal by Aaron Ward in the first period.  Its great to score first in a game, and even better to do it short handed.

Then, for the most part, the B's were in control.  The score was 3 - 1 for most of the game until Kessel got a beautiful goal in the third.  He came in on the right wight with Stuart  joining him on the left wing to take the attention of the defenders.

Kessel kept the puck, and put it in the top corner on the near side.  Just a great shot into a tight spot.

After that though things changed.  For about three minutes or so the B's sort of fell apart and gave up 2 goals to the Sens to make the score 4 - 3.  A bit too close to comfort.  But, unlike recent games, they rose to the challenge and ended up finishing the game of strong.  With Kreicj setup Lucic for a great chance that just missed, and Kessel closing out the scoring with an empty netter.

All in all its a win so that's good.  Was it a great win?  No those two quick goals are something to make someone concerned, but then again its good that they battled back and took control of the game again.

Even when this team is struggling its a great team to watch.  I love Savard's overall game, he just has great hands and vision.  His passes are just fun to watch.  Kreicj is easily the biggest surprise to me (and I'm sure to many).  He can score and pass and between him and Savard they really provide the foundation that the rest of the team build on offensively.
