Warhammer Online, the best game I'm not playing

So the funny thing is, when I started this blog I was certain that my gaming entries would be the most prevalent.  Apparently I couldn't have been more wrong. At any rate I thought I'd take a stab at talking about Warhammer Online. Why? It was released about 4 months ago, why talk now?  Well I just loaded it up again and started playing it.  (I played for about two months when it launched then it kind of fell by the wayside). First what do I like about it?  Well a lot of things actuallyThe Realm

How I stopped playing GTA, for now

So like a lot of my gaming friends I couldn't wait for GTA IV to come out on the PC.  When it finally came out just before Christmas I told my wife I'd wait to see if I got it for Christmas rather than buy it, but I was really looking forward to playing it.To steal a line from My Blue Heaven.......5 o'clock Christmas morning, I run downstairs and look under the tree and what do I find? Dawn of War

No, not Dawn of War II, but Dawn of War I.  I was getting ready to buy Dawn of War II when I saw a lot of bad feedback on it.  Well while I was trying to make up my mind on if I wanted to take a chance on Dawn of War II I thought I'd boot up DOW I for some mayhem. Man I had so forgotten how much fun this game is.  Just the right mix of base building, resource gathering and slugfests.  No resources that run out (something that while interesting in the earlier warcrafts, got ho

Dawn of War II

Now I was really looking forward to this game when I first heard about it.  The screenshots were awesome.  The trailer videos were awesome.  I loved DOW I.  I was all set to get this game. Then it came out and I read some reviews...hmm, maybe I won't be getting this... People were complaining a lot.  It's not an RTS. It's nothing like DOW I.  It uses DRM like Steam and Games For Windows Live (GFWL).  Its not stable. Hmm, maybe I should rethink getting this game
